In the Ladies Lounge – Foufu, Melbourne, 12mins, Mini DV
In a Beirut lounge room in 1926, a photograph was taken of two Lebanese lesbians in drag. Now, this photograph hangs in a Sydney lounge room of two Lebanese lesbians. Some things have changed, some things haven’t.

Kings & Disasters, Werner Hirsch 2004, Germany, 26:07 mins, DV
Gesture after gesture, Kings & Disasters imitates a mexican melodrama purchased for one dollar in Los Angeles. But in contrast to the original, the film is cast with drag kings and places the characters in a relation of equivalent levels of elegance, social class and masculinity. The story line constantly adjusts to the conditions of production, or is even sometimes abandoned altogether.

Feetish – Pornova Productions, Hamburg 3:52 min, 2005, DVD
A bathroom meeting… and all you need to see is what they do with their feet! www.myspace.com/feetish_film

Toi, Toi, Toi – Good luck!, jim osthaarchic, Hamburg, 1:47min, 2006, DVD
Playing with toys. „Toi toi toi!“ means Good Luck! You can relate this „luck“ to sports, objects, toys, hilarity and vacuum. Vinegar and Ostrich´s Hairy Cheek are filmmaker, performer, designer, zine writer and photographer. They work together since one said to the other I won´t kiss you again.

“Ich habe sie gesehn”- I saw them, jim osthaarchic, Hamburg, 4:33 mins, 2002, DVD
Music video in German Sign Language. Visible Invisibility in a Music Video: A charming Elve is showing us what we only can hear. I like to watch her and afterwards you also have seen her.

Stationary, Coral Short, London, 12 mins, 2005, DVD
I am Grace Period, an American secretary in a powder blue suit with long black hair in a bun. I like blush and lipstick, heels and stay up stockings with a seam down the back. I play with the copious collection of office equipment at my desk. I layer sounds one on top of the other repeatedly until it climaxes in hectic multi-tasking chaos. It is all live, fresh, manual and real. My cheerful helpful voice overlays the sounds from the office.

A free but ticketed event – get your tickets at the cca box office: Tel. 0141 352 4900. cca, 350 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow
